About Me
Hi There! My name is Candice Lamb, and I have been a Physiotherapist working in Pelvic Health & Continence on the Sunshine Coast since 2013 in various private practice settings.
I grew up in a military family, which meant quite a lot of moving around so my currency to make friends was sport, particularly netball. This of course came with its fair share of injuries and time spent with Sports Doctors and Physiotherapists, which drove my early desire to work with people in a high performance setting.
In 2012, the final year of my Physiotherapy degree, I attended two lectures that changed the trajectory of my career; one on Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy and another on Persistent Pain, and I realised I could be a Physio AND work within the women’s health sphere with the goal of helping women through similar experiences to my own. The rest is history! I have been working as a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist since 2014 and am very excited to now be doing it the way I have always wanted to; with care, compassion, exercise and a few laughs along the way.
In 2017 I fell in love all over again, this time with CrossFit. I began coaching 12 months later at CrossFit Contessa and haven’t left since. I had always been a huge advocate of strength training for women however this was different; it gave me a language in which to communicate the importance of nutrition, training (not just exercising!) and health in a way that made so much sense. This is where the idea of Lift was born, from the intersection of my two deep passions - improving the health care of women and teaching them through CrossFit that they can be strong, powerful and take up space, no matter what else is going on in life (injuries, pregnancies and pelvic floor concerns included!).
In my spare time I am usually training in the gym with my besties, drinking coffee, learning to play golf, or simply hanging at home looking at the house we may never finish renovating with my husband Josh and my big fat bulldog, Mack.

The Clinic
Lift Pelvic Health is located in Maroochydore, within CrossFit Contessa where I have worked as a CrossFit Trainer for many years.
This may be a little different to your regular Physiotherapy Clinic; while the clinic itself is private it is accessed through the main gym where you will see women (and some men, kids and maybe a few dogs) from all walks of life training and/or hanging out drinking coffee from the onsite cafe. Our session may feature the background dulcet tones of barbells dropping, or dance music playing, but rest assured this will not take away from the quality of the session nor the service you receive. You will notice that you have the option of booking a regular appointment or a ‘LOUD’ appointment which is during scheduled class times, just double check you have the right option if you’re a little noise sensitive.
While we do have onsite parking available as well as plenty of nearby street parking, we are located in a busy industrial area and at times it may take a few extra minutes and some quick prayers to the parking gods to find a great spot - just keep this in mind when you are planning your travel time.
Lift Pelvic Health is accessible via a set of stairs but fear not, we always have lots of helping hands available for anything that needs to carried up there (babies, prams, emotional support water bottles…)
Here early? Feel free to grab a coffee on me, take a seat in the sunshine or up in the little loft.
